A focused 20-minute basketball workout for girls.
Twenty useful minutes beats an hour of random reps. The goal is to give every block a purpose: control the ball, execute one game skill, then finish with something measurable.
Simple 20-minute structure
Start with pounds, crossovers, weak-hand work, or change-of-pace dribbles. Keep the eyes up and prioritize clean control over speed.
Choose one emphasis—shooting, finishing, or handle-to-attack. Repeating one goal is more useful than bouncing between unrelated drills.
Progress the same skill with footwork, pace, weak-hand demand, or a decision. Add difficulty only if technique remains clean.
Finish with a measurable target such as makes, clean reps, consecutive makes, or a best streak. Write it down so the next workout has context.
What should change by age and experience?
A 7th grader building the basics should not receive the same workload as a 10th grader who practices regularly. Practice space matters too: a player with no hoop needs a different prescription than a player with full basket access.
That is the reason Made Reps asks about grade, experience, goal, available space, session length and weekly frequency before generating a plan.
